I am responsible for this error appearing in IE. Originally when the other thread came up here, when asked what browser he was using he said Firefox. I had him Uninstall the ShockWave flash player and the Active-X control. I knew the Active X control was related to IE (It is not needed for Firefox), but since he wasn't using IE - I didn't mention that he'd end up having IE tell him to reinstall.
IE wants to add the Active-X control back onto the system is my guess, and the message would be legitimate based on the previous thread and this one.
