As you say, the cube is dead here, so I'm not sure what the "Rolled for both no double and double" option will do. My guess is that in these situations it makes no difference whether the option is turned on or off.

Anyway, my recommendation is to have that option turned off by default. Use it only if the opponent has access to a live cube and it's likely that the opponent's doubling decision immediately after you make your checker play is a close one. Otherwise (which is most of the time) it's a waste of time.
