Before people hear tear your guts out and tell you a dozen reasons why this is bad and could be better if you just do this and that, I want to congratulate you for coming up with a fantastic tournament idea and approach. I am sure this will be a great success and set the stage for similar venues of this nature around the world. Getting more people together to compete and showing the world that backgammon is not always just about the money, that it is a great intellectual competition that attracts people for the joy of competing is an area of the game that needs to be shown to the world if we are to attract sponsors, get more people involved, and convince parents that this Backgammon is a healthy past time for their children.

You probably won't get a lot of Giants to travel very far for obvious reasons, but that's not what this competition is all about. Bravo!
