Pontiac:

if double slotted I play 5-2 to make 16pt, if made the 5pt I would be play safely. Two blots give me freedom to improve my board and I can easily slot, give blot etc.

Playing 52 safely after the 5 point made is an error ~0.04.

After two blots which rolls play differently to made 5pt i.e. "slot, give blot" ?

If you look at all the rolls there are very few, 43 probably maybe 62.

Because of this I think it's better to prepare for a better board for later sequences.
