#1. I like two down, even though it's DMP. I want to prime or squash whichever is the last blot out. That looks better to me than any kind of antipositional attacking play, or running into a double shot.

#2. 23/18, 13/7. Regarding the tactic of the split--"If not now, when?" and regarding the play in general, I would be thinking there could be a recube in the foreseeable future.

#3. Double/Take. Not that gammonish either way, race favors you because of his wastage and because his outerboard point is "backward", as chess players might put it. If you are forced to leave a shot and get hit now, you may also bounce right back into the game on one of those open points--and how badly does he even want to hit you with something like 42 or 51?
