(1) 13/8 13/9. Unless White anchors high -- not likely -- we have good spares much in play to improve our priming advantage. Hardly any short sequences will make it more difficult or dangerous to run the last man soon, if we want to.

(2) 23/18 13/7. If we make the other play, we have a worse game if White fans with 1-4-5-6 and a terrible game if White rolls any 3. I think that makes up for 9 additional fanning numbers, considering that entering 2's still leave us the advantage. If we play 8/2 7/2, we sure will be wanting to rolls fives -- to attack the 3 point, cover the 8 point, and play to the bar.
