Can the bot possibly be right?

I know that GNU uses a separate neural net to evaluate backgames than it does to evaluate more common-looking positions.
This is not true. GNubg has three neural nets:
- The race net, for when contact is broken.
- The crashed net, for positions where one side is heavily crunched.
- The contact net, for everything else, including backgames.
It is reported that Snowie has seven different nets, one of which is probably a backgame net.
