N (Near, 13/8 6/3) is unresourceful and wimpy.

I like J (Jump, 8/5 8/3), seizing the opportunity to thematically slot in front of an advanced anchor. Another way to do this is O (Outer, 13/10 8/3), but this self-duplicates 3s for point-making.

$ (Slot, 13/5) produces a better chance to cover the 5pt next turn but is tactically weak. The additional 3pt blot leaves Blue too little counterplay when White hits or when she breaks her 8pt or 7pt to make her 5pt or 4pt, etc.

I believe the right play for money here will be the same at Pontiac's given score of 𤃂.
