1. We're well behind in the race so we'd like to contain White's straggler. One option is 18/16(2) 18/14, which seems to give the best outfield coverage, but releases pressure on White's other blot and gives White 65 to hit. What else is there? We could try 18/6 10/8 10/6, but then we don't get a direct shot if White rolls 62 63 64 65. I'll go with 18/16(2) 18/14.

2. The obvious play is 13/10 9/3 6/3. What alternatives are there? We could try advancing our anchor with 18/15(2) but then we can't make the six-prime; it seems hard to believe that that would be better. If we play 9/3 6/3 then the only plausible alternative to 13/10 is 18/15. This exposes us to a possible counterattack, but we're going to have to break our anchor at some point, so I think it's better to do so while White is on the bar. 18/15 9/3 6/3.

3. Again there's an obvious move, 13/7 11/7, making the six-prime. However, things could get awkward if we roll poorly and fail to escape our back checkers. Thus 22/16 20/16 is a candidate. This looks like the DMP play to me. However, ATS, we'd really like to win a gammon. Is there something else more gammonish? Hitting looks too loose. How about 22/16 11/7? Again, it looks too loose to me. I'll try 22/16 20/16.
