I'm not sure why nobody has really viewed nor replied to these two threads so I'll have a go at them now. It seems to me that we only have a deuce to play here as three is is forced, bar/22. If we were instead to come in on the 23pt there would be no good three. (except for continuing 23/20 which is the same as playing bar/22 to begin with)

Being stuck on the 22pt when there's a broken 6 prime in front of you that you can't directly escape from plain sucks. Also, for the most part, if your opponent attacks you after you continue 22/20 he will have to dismantle his prime and leave you many return shots, either at his dismantled prime blots or you will hit loose off your 4 point to divert him if you must.

There are some things I'm sure of. Bar/20 is the dmp play. Bar/20 loses the most gammons. Bar/20 also wins the most gammons. With two categories out of three pointing to bar/20 and one of those categories being weighted at a 2:1 ratio versus the other two, bar/20 is the necessary play.
