In Response To: Daily Quiz 2/2 (Timothy Chow)

Scenario:

You and I are playing doubles against Stick and his donkey partner (his impression not mine) and are faced with this position. Instinctively in code I give you the nod to turn the cube. Stick and his pricked ear partner home in on your eval given above. In an attempt to disclose very little to the other side, you notice that I'm on the verge of ripping the pretty dove tails from the quaint chair I'm sitting on...

Do you:

a) Put trust in my confidence level and turn the cube?

b) Expect counter arguments and allow the other side to build a profile on us?

c) Remain firm and watch with delight as I go flying on my ass?

d) Agree to a prop after the match?
