I thought having three builders for the 8 point was nice, instead, since only 6-2 and 2-2 can use a checker from the 10 point to make 4 point next turn. But "bears on" covers the point, also, if White splits to it. But will she? Turns out, the only number with which White will split to that point after 15/10 is 3-2! (33 makes the 21 point, 31 hits and splits 4/1* 24/23, 34 runs 24/17, 35 points 6/1* 4/1, and 36 hits 24/15* in the outfield.)

... slotting the 10pt ... only risks 63 in addition to the shots aimed at our 24pt.

After 15/10, the ace point will be attacked with

65 64 55 54 53 52 51 44 41 and 31 -- 18 numbers,

and 63 hits in the outfield for a total of 20. But after 15/11 13/12, the ace point will be attacked with

65 64 55 54 53 52 51 44 41 -- only 16 numbers.

Again 33 makes two points and 32 splits. 34 now splits, instead of running into a triple shot, and 36 now splits, instead of hitting. The other number that no longer hits is 31 which can now be played 24/21 24/23 or 24/21 6/5 instead of hit-and-split 4/1* 24/23.
