white has 4pt, blue has 3pt. whites board has gaps and blue's has not. If we compare them Whites board is not so stronger than Blue, even they looks same after blue enters and make pt at whites inner board. But the most imp. key here is, blue is behind in race and this dictates the bold play here. making 23pt is a safe place for us and we can play boldly by 8-3*
