What kind of game is this? A mutual holding game?

I'm thinking Blue leads the race, has fewer spare checkers to play, has the worse anchor, may leave two blots next time after 8/3 8/6, and rates to get worse while White rates to marginally improve. And for now Blue has the bar point and White's board has two empty points. So I'll sign on for 17/10* and three blots now. Should be fun!
