17/14 wins a little more games/gammons while, 13/10 loses a little more gammons.

The problem for blue is that his structure/timing is so good its paradoxically bad. With excellent distribution an ace/2 backgame can be exercuted with 80 pips of timing. Here, blue has 100 pips, so the main threat after 13/10 will mostly come from an over-timed backgame rather white's threat to block.

Then there's the issue of BG's - which play would you take a prop on losing more BG's?
