White's board is already broken so it's a question of get my pipples home or play to break whites back. 10/6 9/7(2) is nice and flexible. 8/6(3) 10/8 has the upside of being able to kick white in the noogies if he rolls a bad 5. 10/6 8/6 7/6 seems like the wrong idea against a broken board releasing both 5's and 6's from the 4 point.

I'm sure I'm missing something here but the hit doesn't make sense to me.

This looks like one of those missed doubles XG usually berates me for. If white leaves an extra blot next roll or gets in a hitting contest with me I may have missed my market.
