After play we are 4 pips ahead which mean that race is effectively equal.

I know that if we play 20/14(2) 13/7(2) we have to clear two more points than if we play simple 20/8(2) but five checkers on 8pt just doesn't look flexible enough for me.

It is not clear who prefer contact. I like to have bar point made and three point prime in front of white's anchor. Bar point can be useful as landing spot and in blocking purpose.

20/14(2) 13/7(2) for me.
