Position and Threats yes but down in the race. White is likely to crunch and have an inefficient bearoff but blue needs the hit to be winning.

2. 18/16 2/1

36 and 33 leave white in tough, I don't want to step up on the 15 and remove the opportunity…. 33 and 36 become great roll if blue slots on the 15. 16 doesn't duplicate anything and is under pressure to get off the 12 point. Alternately burning everything to the 1 point just seems wrong somehow.

3. 6/1 5/4

On one hand If Blue gets the hit he has nothing to remake the point with so he may as well safe up and prepare to run. If he gets the hit next roll with the one he may even win the game. On the other hand 2/1 may allow blue to wait one more roll if white doesn't clear the 5 point next roll. On the 3rd hand…
