1) At the score, I try 22/16 18/15, hoping to create shots. Gammons do not hurt us, that helps.

2) For money, owning the cube, I would do nothing special and just sit on the position with 18/9. But that is in part because I missed Timothy's play of 18/15 7/1, which should be better (contact with the midpoint at limited risk). No anchor plays are too loose with gammons counting, and 7/1 6/3 leaves too many hit and covers. For money, important to reduce gammon losses and retain racing chances.
