Is there a cpu that makes XG Roller++ tolerably quick?

Yes.

i7-970
i7-980
i7-990X
i7-3960X
i7-3930K

Those are 6-core CPUs with hyper-threading. First three are socket 1366, last two are socket 2011.

Or if your "tolerably quick" is slightly slower - you could go for some 4-core i7 CPU with hyper-threading.
