In Response To: Squandering a Joker Double Aces (Paul Weaver)

Ahead by 20 in the race and with both runners escaped while white has a checker still on the ace I'll just safety the blot. Then I have a choice of making either the bar or the 5 point. The 5 is usually more valuable and I can't see any features of this position that would make me think the bar point is better.

So this donkey plays 15/13 6/5(2), although OTB I might have made the bar and 5 points by reflex action.
