#3 - It is very questionable whether or not Ray would have a take after a closeout. If his two or three points held a blot rather than a point, I believe he would have a drop. The placement of Stick's spares will also be relevant. And, taking would rely upon the questionable proposition that Ray would know when to return the cube to 4 at this score. Considering everything, it should be close to a take.
In the current position, Ray could escape before a closeout. Or Stick could retrieve another checker. These scenarios will at least partially offset. The kicker is that Ray can win a gammon and Stick can not. Even with the cube turned, the gammon value is still somewhere between .25 and .50 - gammons are worth something. I think Ray has enough to take.
Stick's equity isn't going to change much move to move. So, I will guess that this is no double by a small amount. Ray will still have a take or a narrow drop after Stick completes the prime. I would double immediately after making a 6 prime or if Ray exposes another checker in his home board without being at the edge of the prime.
