Clearing the 13-point would leave him only 2 bad numbers, 2-2 and 4-4.

I think it's right to run one checker from the 14-point with a 6-2, leaving him with 4 bad numbers, 3-3, 2-1, and 1-1. I think those extra wins outweigh the 3 extra shots you leave, since you rarely win when he gets by even if you're not hit.

On 5-2 I have no idea, it might be right to break the board.
