1. 31P
Block the 6's or make the 5 point. Stacks that need unloading. Ahead the roll. The only thing that suggests the playing safe is the score. The score is pretty important though. Is making the 10 actually the less volatile play though? Blue has to come off the 10 against the 4 point if he makes it.
I make the point here. The threat of white rolling a 7 with a blot on the 5 and bar isn't enough to pass up on the asset.
2. 6/3 5/3
Sometimes you have to enumerate the rolls
unstacking to build the point is my first thought. Bad rolls…. 1. 5/2 4/2 - 65, 63, 61, 54, 52, 51, 43, 41. 32, 21 2. 6/3 5/3 - 65, 63, 61, 51, 43, 41, 32 3. 8/6 8/5 - 63, 62, 61, 53, 52, 51, 43, 41, 32
The least likely to leave a direct shot next roll goes to 6/3 5/3. Now if only i could keep track of my totals in my head while I enumerate the rolls without a piece of paper.
3. 24/20 7/3*
This one blew my circuits. So many choices. The 4 point leaves no forward anchor and threats. Threatening a 6 prine with 13/9(2) leaves more threats than is comforatable. Stepping up into the triple direct with 24/22 is a great way to get gammoned. Hitting and threatening the forward anchor plays both ways. Even duplicates 3's for an added kicker.
I didn't consider most of the possible plays here. You could stare at this one a very long time.
