1. The 5pt is the automatic play. What might make us make the 10pt instead? I don't think we're too afraid of White's indirect shots, because of her tattered board. The purpose of making the 10pt would be to try to contain White's anchor since the race is close, and also to unstack our heavy midpoint. This is probably a fairly close decision but I still make the 5pt.
2. White's board is too strong for us to leave a direct shot. We can make the 5pt, 3pt, or 2pt. I guess we should count immediate blotting rolls, assuming White just diddles around with her forward checkers on her turn. After making the 5pt, 63 62 61 53 52 51 43 41 32 blot, for 18 rolls. After 6/3 5/3, 65 63 61 51 43 41 blot, for 12 rolls. After 5/2 4/2, 65 63 61 54 52 51 43 41 32 21 blot, for 20 rolls. If I counted right, 6/3 5/3 leaves a lot fewer shots than the alternatives, enough that I think this outweighs other factors. 6/3 5/3.
3. Blitzing with 13/9 7/3* looks natural here. I don't see an advantage to touching our back checkers. 24/22(2) just lets White dump checkers behind us with an awkward entering roll, and splitting allows White potential counterattacks.
