Almost all of Magriel’s safe-versus-bold criteria point to making a safe play. The only exception is that Blue has White outboarded, 2-to-1, but the extra point is behind White’s anchor. Abandoning the 11pt gives Blue an extra builder on the 8pt, and some flexibility for next turn. 11/8, 11/6 Mike
