Paul, why should you spend all the time, effort, and money it would require to make this single change for one day every four years, when most people in our hemisphere would be more than happy to get rid of the entire month of February, and extend June 28 or 29 more days depending on the year? And if anyone in my area needs more convincing, you can point out, along the lines of David Levy's post, that we are just a bit too far north to grow figs, pecans, or apricots, but we could easily grow all three if we had another month with long days. I find this argument highly convincing, even though I made it up and it doesn't make any sense.
