The biggest issue I see here is that you aren't winning many gammons regardless of what play you make. That means it's going to be hard to overcome the single wins you give up by blotting all over the place if there isn't a big difference in gammons.

I expect there to be a big difference in wins when you try to peel here. He'll hit 30% of the time and then go into full double slot in his inner board mode trying to pick up more of your checkers. It's so clear to me for money even at gammon go I would make the safe play. It just feels like you give up too many single wins for a paltry augmentation in gammons.
