Same seed + different position == different dice rolls

[This update is for those who may be rooting around amid the old posts here at BGO.]

Xavier: The actual dice seed in XG is based on a hash of the initial position plus the user seed.

So the RO of 41S-54R will use different dice than 41S-63R no matter if you use the same user seed for both RO.

If I understand correctly what Xavier wrote in another thread from May 2010, then his statement above is incorrect. I am not sure he realized when he wrote it that the checker positions that result after 41S-54R and 41S-63R are indentical, but in any event, when those two positions were put him later, he gave a different response.
