Before there were bots, everyone covered the 3pt. The result gives a five-point board, with three builders targeting an open 2pt. The bots have taught us an alternative. After slotting the 2pt, 8/2 11/9, Blue will have three builders targeting two slots. 3, 4 and 6 cover the 3pt, while 4, 5 and 7 cover the 2pt. The only reason Blue can consider this alternative is because White is very likely play safe on his turn. When White rolls something like 63 or 52, he will not be leaving any fly shots. I’m not sure which play is better, and I doubt it matters a whole bunch, so I will opt for the double slot. 11/9, 8/2 Mike | ||||||||||||||
