1. This position seems pretty gammonish both ways, which is normally a danger signal for the leader at 9a2a. Still, I think White can take. The race is pretty close and White has the stronger board, with Blue having three checkers back behind White's semi-blockade. White doesn't want to get into a backgame here because she lacks the timing, but her chances of winning going forwards look decent. In fact I'm not sure I would double for money, but ATS I would send the cube over.
2. Splitting looks mandatory. There are several ways to split: U, S, and W. W looks too, uh, wild with a weaker board. 13/10 gives a direct shot but slots a valuable point. I'd play U here but I think S is close.
3. My first instinct is that 24/21 is a must; however, 13/7 6/3(2) also looks attractive. If we do play 24/21 then the choices seem to be 24/21 13/10 6/3(2) and 24/21 13/7 8/5. Looking at all three candidates, it now seems to me that 13/7 should be the first priority, making at least a four-prime. Not sure between the last two but I'll go with my first instinct that 24/21 is crucial. 24/21 13/7 8/5.
