1O '1O ' '5X '4X ' '1X4O

2X ' ' ' '5O '4O ' ' '3X

52S-52D-22-s

Above is a third roll example, at gammon save, where S (Split/doublets, 24/20 22/20 13/11) is the best play. [The runner-up is M (Mayfair split, 24/22 13/11 6/4(2).]

Below is an example of double 2s on the fourth roll, for money, where S is the best play:

1O '1O ' '5X '4X ' ' '4O

 ' ' '2X '5O '4O ' ' '4X

51S-52S-32@-22

The best play is S (Split/doublets, 24/20 22/20 13/11). The second best play is C (Cross 3:1, 24/20 22/20 8/6).

Note that B is the only one of the six BEACON letters that does not have an underlined family. S substitutes for the 3:1 representation of B, and Z substitutes for the 1:3 representation of B. Division of labor for B/S/Z doublets (scroll past the first two diagrams).
