Hey someone actually reads these :)
Yes, I am trying (badly) to apply Phil Simborg's Doubling Cube and Take Points lectures from the USBGF.
... I'm guessing it hurts your eyes to see it blundered so badly but it's my first shot at it.
First mistake... Didn't flip the cube to 2 in the "Gammon Value" tab... At 2 gammon value for blue is .625 and for white is 0 (obviously)
My guess was that White wins at least 30% from this position. (roller++ says 35.58%)
My next guess was that Blue gammons about 25% of the time here and white gammons about 6% of the time. (roller++ says 25.38% and 10.58%)
As you have pointed out. Gammons for White aren't worth anything. So only the impact of Blues gammons should be accounted for 25% * .625 = 15.625 ( roller++ 25.38% * .625 = 15.86% )
Therefore White's current equity is about 30% - 15.6% = 14.4% ( roller ++ 35.58 - 15.86 = 19.72% )
Whites Non Gammon Adjusted Take Point for a dead cube is 21.01%
Pass.
Did I manage the process correctly this time?
thanks, Robert
