Volunteer? Or conscientious objector?

Crossword: 3 & 3, squeeze the anchor there's volatility in it.
I think that means boldly play both checkers from the anchor, keeping the 8 point block, and avoiding the 8 point-on-head numbers that 22/12 leaves. 3-3 and 3-2 are White's only great replies. After the other 22 hitting numbers, Blue is favored to enter immediately. White can't be much of a favorite. But when White misses, except with 6-6, Blue stands very well with his 4-prime and outfield control.
If Blue plays 8/4 8/2, White must be the favorite on roll in a symmetrical position with both players anchored behind a 3-prime.
22/12? Eight pointing numbers plus 6-3 and 5-4 are too much.
