The play that I instinctively want to make is 8/4(2) 6/2(2), challenging White to a blot-hitting contest.

What are the alternatives? It seems that 8/4(2) has to be part of the equation. Then we could play 14/6 cleaning up a blot, or 5/1*(2) blitzing. Nothing else seems appealing to me. It feels to me that 6/2(2) has to be better than 14/6 since a blot on the 14pt isn't in much danger. The main question for me is whether to blitz. If White dances, is it a cash? I think it probably is; it can't be an easy take at any rate. If we play 8/4(2) 6/2(2), how strong is our position? Pretty strong, but nowhere near a cash I think. I'm a little nervous about switching from a strong point to a weak point but I think the blitz is worth going for. 8/4(2) 5/1*(2), and we'll see if this is an example of what Mr Majestyk was looking for.
