Tim,

IMO, one key difference, here in Paul's position compared to Michael's 33 is that in this position when we switch fron our 5pt to the ace* it is our oppon who is on the back foot. Those Gammons look pretty juicy too when white fans. I would guess blue's net Gammons are greater than after 6/4(2) 6/2(2). 6/4(2) 5/1(2) is the play I would make, here.
