im not making a play in this position that leaves two blots against whites 5 point board even though white is on the bar.....i cannot stop his 2-2 joker from hurting me whatever play i make, but i can reduce the pain with minimal cost, so 2-2 (and 1 blot) is all i give white with 22-17 7-3,blue already has a great racing lead with gammon chances if he closes white out, why multiply and strenghten whites jokers
