White has the timing advantage so it is not urgent to move up to the edge of the enemy prime. If white can contain blue, then white rates to win the timing battle.

The best way to contain white is to extend the prime and with this in mind I play 2 down after which 2s, 4s, 11, 51, 31 complete the 5 prime (26 escapes rather than building the prime).

The downside is that this play doesn't do anything about the 2 frontloaded spares on the 5 and 6. Perhaps these can be developed later or used as attackers if blue moves up to the edge so it's a small price to pay.
