Baffle Box Video

If you survey all backgammon players, many will tell you they hate baffle boxes. If you survey people who have used a baffle box for any period of time, the overwhelming majority will tell you they love it. You feel like you get a fair shake every time, even if your opponent doesn't shake. You love not seeing dice fly on the floor. You love that your almost never have cocked dice. If you still use a cup and shake before putting them into the box, you get the same feeling of shaking and rolling those dice that you always did.
The baffle box improves the aesthetics of the game. It makes the game look and feel more professional. We've had many people stop by our chouette table in Chicago and look at the box and say, "that's really cool...never seen one of those." We overhear people say, "Those guys are serious players." Having excellent, attractive, well-made equipment, like a great board, is a plus to the overall enjoyment of the game. That's why we used real wood...heavy wood, nicely finished, and the board fits together tight and solid and looks good on the board.
In the first week we've sold over 35 boards, we have commitments for many more, and we're finalizing distribution deals in several countries to sell the boards all over the world. This board is quiet, fast, tosses the dice in two directions and then has the dice bounce on to and across the board. It's lovely to watch and it just feels right. And best of all, it folds up in 2 seconds to lay flat in your board or in an optional bag.
Don't knock it until you've tried it.
