Thanks for posting such an interesting, close position.

The absence of a seed display in your rollout means that your are using XG’s “default”
seed: 1. I recommend you set your rollout seed to “random.”

— Options -> Settings -> Rollouts -> Generate a new seed randomly each time the program starts.

Fortunately, Nack has already done this, so his rollout does not also use the seed 1. That means that your 1k can be combined with his 15k. If you both use the same seed, the rollouts cannot be combined.

In most cases, there is no advantage in using the same seed over and over. That is because XG combines the seed with a hash of the board position before generating dice rolls.

— Same seed + Different checker positions = Different dice rolls
