A stark choice: we can break the anchor, 20/14, or else delay, 12/8 4/2. At this juncture, I would not slot, 12/6.

Were we to delay, we would desperately need a 3 next time, otherwise we might end up killing checkers. So, the only argument for staying on the 20pt is to avoid a gammon loss.

This is a stark choice, but not too tough. By the way, stopping on the 16pt would be a huge blunder. That bonehead play duplicates the 3 we will need to remake the 20pt.
