Very interesting. Pointing strenghtens home board and takes away half a roll. It also turns othrwise good rolls (63, 33, 66) into fans. On another hand, it strips 8 pt and leaves 16pt chcker in danger at a time when Whie is positioned to attack with 10 checkers in the zone or prime with bar pt made. 3pt is not particulRily useful here for attacking purpose since it is not, at least at the moment, our game plan-- we have 1 checker back and lacking firing power. Still, 3pt may prove to be usefull later to bring blue checkers home or if he hits something-- if it gets this far. Running play leaves zero blots and escapes --sort of--last checker.it doesn't win many gammons as pointing play, but it loses less gammons too. I would say it wins more games. The race is close and I can see how both plays could be correct, but I would run here which is more consistent with our 62 a roll earlier than pointing is.
