I Screwed Up My Back Game

I suck at backgames too, but here's my $.02
1) Classic mobility/pure play says slot the four point. Then 13/11 seems as good as any. Blue could use more timing being only down by 30 pips, so being hit is no big deal. OTOH,white's blockade is weak enough and the race is close enough that blue might still be able to win going forward if he gets a shot after making the four. 13/11 6/4.
2) I hate to bury a checker, but the only other option is to abandon the 21 and most likely be left with a deuce point game. I'll try 7/1* - maybe I can circulate another checker, and the tempo hit helps prevent white from filling in the 18 after which blue is pretty much screwed. 8/2 looks much more passive; although it does preserve some semblance of a prime, it won't hold unless I can escape the spare on the deuce.
3) Paraphrasing Trice: > 50% to hit is not the same thing as >50% to win. When playing a backgame, Cubes should be used to squash your opponent's residual chances after hitting. The take looks pretty clear. ND/T.
