Pointless double?

To mamabear At last you were exposed:). Both for coining pointless doubles and for making Stick.
To me these pointless doubles are often 4th - 5th roll positions after the first exchange of hits. The pointless side has racing advantage and since he is pointless, the wood is down there for construction or ammunition. The racing advantage typically translates into OMB (one man back) positions. So the pointless side along with a plan Z (race) has a multitude of possible ways to reach a victory - attack, blitz, prime, bring more enemy checkers into the futre pen. The pointless position is powerful and the defender position is in a state of defence (he prays for an anchor, for an exchange of hits or maybe a Favorable hit exchange). The defender is not dead, and most of the time has a handsome take, but the pointless has so many weapons. One of the weapons is the doubling cube. I vaguely remember the risk/reward formula, but I firmly know the risker risks smaller Neil's numbers than he wins when he is behind in the score. So the doubling window opens earlier in Arizona than in California:).
