As I've found it's not that big a deal, as articles that use diagrams which are a single image tend to print fine, at least on Firefox. This is mostly a problem with diagrams that are composed from many tiny images. Unfortunately this means that there may not be a simple solution for these, as the browser probably thinks that it's ok to display the images on different pages. At first I thought that I was really missing something obvious. Thanks anyway!
