Putting a third checker on the bar is good, giving us more time to get out our back men without any interference. Getting hit on the deuce is not good, we already have enough problems with the back checkers as is. Hence I think it's right to lift with 2/1. Maybe it's good to have two men within direct range of our open six point, for pick-and-pass options if XG enters there.
