Taking two off seems pretty clear here. If you make 4pt and bring two in, you are left with stripped 6 and 4pt, gap on the 3 and 2 spares on 5pt. Thats tough to bear off leaving no shots. Play that and you will be leaving shots after shots, after shots....well you get the idea. Stacking gives you that needed flexibility. As an extra benefit it also bears 2 checkers off and leaves no shots next turn.
