Number 1:
Having the 2-anchor makes blue an underdog. This is one of the reasons that one might want to run off a 2-anchor sooner than from a 4- or 5-anchor.
When not hit the checkers on the 14- and 15-point give white a lot of low-risk playable pips. After playing safe with 13/4 blue has less free-playable pips than white. (26 vs. 32 pips). This means that blue might have to break his inner-board or midpoint before white has to.
Besides that there is the duplication of 4's white needs for hitting and covering.
Answer: 23x14
Number 2:
White has to leave his anchor with every 5 or 6, and all other moves make the white board crunch. Since white is about 60% favourite to win the race, blue just needs a hit to get the match on his side. Closing out would be nice, but is not necessary to become the favourite. It seems good to keep the pressure at maximum: after 6/1 5/2 almost all hitting numbers allow blue to cover or safety his 6-blot.
Answer: 6/1 5/2
Number 3:
With a gap on the 5-point and the 1-point board I tended to see this as a No Double. But then I looked at how the blue moves play here and found that all moves except 51,31 and 32 play rather good. Making an extra point or creating a builder on the bar-point.
With the enormous race-deficit white will only have about 7% race-chance and after the next move a 2,5% hitchance. This is not even 10% in total, and with his delta 1 and delta 2-builders he is a big favourite to make new points on 3 or 5.
But blue still has a lot of points to clear. With so much to be done, the total chance of white will probably add up to a little over 25%.
