There are only three plays that move from the 23 point and make 1 crossover. Not that the crossover has to matter, but I don't think it can hurt. Moving from the 23 point is a must to avoid the backgammon.

23/16. We'd need 6-6 followed by either 6-6 5-5 4-4 or 6-6 5-5 2-2, or 5-5 followed by 6-6 4-4, or 4-4 followed by 6-6 5-5. 7/1296

23/19 13/10. We'd need 6-6 followed by either 6-6 5-5 4-4 or 6-6 5-5 2-2, or 5-5 followed by 6-6 5-5 4-4, or 4-4 followed by 6-6 5-5. 8/1296

23/20 13/9. We'd need 6-6 followed by 6-6 5-5 4-4 3-3 2-2, or 5-5 followed by 6-6 5-5 4-4, or 4-4 followed by 6-6 5-5. 23/20 13/9 also picks up 3-3 followed by 6-6. 11/1296
