Thanks for the corrections and explanations. I was never really sure on how hit/most/6 applied to Hit, so that was valuable, and since I haven't followed the Nactation development during the last year or so, except for shortly skimming some posts on doublets, the update on R was good too.

Regarding F versus ^: It saves a keystroke for me ;)

I think the new subsystem for handling doublets is really nice. Doublets and the hit/most/6 were the main things that caused me problems when transcribing in realtime. I am starting to get a bit up to speed with the changes and have found it for me has become more doable to do full game transcriptions, which is an added bonus of the system. Part of this is also due to things being more clearly spelled out (Thanks Mike, for digging in !), so looking forward to studying the update when it arrives.

My main experience with Nactation since last, however, is how good a tool it is for studying and learning openings. Realising that the game is too much fun to completely rid myself of, I am trying to make more efficient use of the time I do spend on studying it. While still in the process, I can say that I think studying the openings by creating a setup where you can immediately obtain positions and their rollouts using the Nactation sequence might be the way to go.

With the updated parts, is the idea that for practical play, the non-stylistic letters can cover everything ?
